Activities & Life Groups
FBCL Life Groups Winter 2024
Sunday mornings between services (9:45 – 10:45), unless otherwise noted:
Revelation – This Life Group is led by Pastor Tracy and meets at the front of the sanctuary. This group will use a study resource by Dr. David Jeremiah, and will begin on January 21st. This group runs from 10:00 – 10:35 a.m.
The Questions Christians Hope No One Will Ask – This Life Group is led by Pastor Chris and Ezekiel Little. It will utilize a book written by Mark Mittelberg, which seeks to help Christians answer tough questions others may ask, while also reinforcing our faith. This group meets in classroom 4, starting January 21st and runs from 10:00 – 10:35 a.m.
Gospel of Mark - This is an ongoing Women’s Life Group led by Rebecca Little. This group meets in classroom one and will encourage those who attend to study the Gospel of Mark in a way that reinforces proper methods of interpretation.
The Screwtape Letters – This is a Men’s Life Group led by Scott Vyner that meets in classroom 3, starting January 21st. This group will study the classic work of C.S. Lewis and discuss ways in which men can arm themselves for victory over the lies and half-truths that the devil employs against the believer on a daily basis.
Additional Life Groups throughout the week:
Safe People – This Life Group is led by Arleen Starr and will meet every other Tuesday night in classroom 2, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. beginning January 23rd. This group will study the book “Safe People” by Cloud and Townsend, which helps believers find and strengthen relationships that are healthy. This Life Group is appropriate for anyone aged 16 and up.
Jesus in the Old Testament – This is a Men’s Life Group led by Scott Vyner, that will meet on Wednesday nights in classroom 3, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. beginning January 24th. This is a Video Study that utilizes Mike Winger’s content to help the believer find Jesus through the Old Testament.
Mama Bear Apologetics – This is an ongoing Women’s Life Group led by Breanna Homer that meets every first and third Saturday of the month in classroom 1, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. This group explores apologetics (defending the faith) in the context of Motherhood, by equipping women to better answer questions others may have about the faith, how we can communicate the truth of the gospel, etc.
FBCL Activities
Men’s Breakfast – A morning of faith/fellowship/food for men and young men. Every second Saturday of the month at 8:00 a.m., in the Fellowship Hall.
50+ Luncheon – Friends, food and fellowship. Every other month on the third Thursday at 11:00 a.m., in the Fellowship Hall.
“Women Who Rise” (FBCL Women's Ministry) Women’s Breakfast – Faith, fellowship, food and a time to celebrate what God is doing in our lives! Held from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Family Game Night – All ages welcome! A great time of fellowship, games are provided but feel free to bring one to share. Second Friday of the month from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Pickleball – Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Men’s Basketball – Friday evenings from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, except for “Family Game Night” Fridays.
