Hello, my name is Larry Hiles and I have the great privilege to serve alongside of the folks at First Baptist Church in Linesville as the Lead Pastor. I am a child of God by the grace of God. I am the lucky husband of April, father of Taylor, Preston and CJ, and Pa to Delaney, Jameson and Dominic.
My first encounter with the grace of God took place on January 4, 1995. I was baptized at the Milford Church of Christ on January 8, 1995, and said “YES" to whatever I was asked to do in the church. The more I said “YES”, the more God invited me to do. I was ultimately asked to be the preacher at the church I became a Christian in. God’s grace for me has been overwhelming.
I believe it is my role as a Pastor to preach and teach God’s Word in such a way that the grace of God continues to overwhelm our souls, fuels our faith for life, and encourages each of us to say “YES” to God every chance we get.
Most days I finish my Bible reading by writing these verses in my journal:
Philippians 3:10-11 (ESV): …that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like Him in His death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.
Hello, my name is Terry Smith and I am the Associate Pastor of Worship and Visitation here at First Baptist Church, Linesville.
Every Sunday you will see me leading worship, something that I love to do, along with our dedicated worship teams. I also oversee and coordinate the audio/video aspects of our worship services and head up the FBC prayer chain.
My wife Joy is such a huge part of my ministry at FBC. She is usually the first person that will greet you at the door on Sunday mornings. We also love visiting and praying with people at the hospital.
We love our church and are blessed to be part of the staff at FBC! If you are looking for a church that loves and cares for people, please come check us out.
Hi! My name is Jason Fenicle and I am so blessed to be the Youth Pastor at Linesville First Baptist Church. I love God, serving Him, and watching the change and passion grow in people as they come into (and go deeper in) a relationship with Jesus Christ.
I am married to my incredibly beautiful very best friend, Lindsey, who I met at Lancaster Bible College (in Lancaster, PA). I admire her deeply and she inspires me daily. Both Lindsey and I have felt called by God for a long time to minister to teens and kids (the next generation of the Church) and we both love doing so.
At LBC, I studied Biblical Theology & Student/Youth Ministry and she studied Children’s & Family Ministry, and I also have my Masters Degree in Teaching from Frostburg State University in Maryland.
I have been working in ministry to youth since around 2008 in church, para-church (Youth For Christ), and camp ministries, was born in Maryland just south of Baltimore, and I greatly enjoy discipleship, sports, music, weightlifting, hiking, teaching, the beach, roller coasters, and seafood.
Hopefully your family will come on out to check out the exciting, important, gospel-centered Youth Ministries and Children’s Ministries at our wonderful church in Linesville. We are blessed by an awesome & faithful God, and it will always give us joy to serve Him.
Nursery & Preschool Director
My name is Ashley Leskanic.

Hi! My name is Art Barnes, and I am Pastor Emeritus here at LFBC where I served as Senior Pastor for 28 years from 1987 to 2015. My wife, Kristy and I are now retired and have three married sons and eight grandchildren. Kristy enjoys painting and I enjoy playing pickleball. Together we like to fish and ride motorcycle.
Prior to coming to Linesville, I spent 17 years in industrial management in Ohio. Called to preach at age 16, I managed to "escape" that call as long as I could! But finally God won out and we ended up here at First Baptist in a wonderful opportunity fulfilling his purpose in and through our lives.
Today, we are blessed to continue to be a part of what God is doing in our church led by the dedicated ministries of our active pastoral staff and their families.

Custodian / Grounds
Hello, I am John Acklin and serve as groundskeeper and custodian here at FBC since we created the new campus in 2002. It has always been my calling to create the kind of "curb appeal" through lawn care/flowers/shrubs and trees so that people will enjoy the experience of meeting God's people and worshipping in this place.
I have been married to Jeanne for 46 years and we have been blessed with 3 children and twin grandsons. Jeanne, after retirement, also helps me out with the cleaning on the south half of our building - when she is not working with horses. My day job includes being the Athletic Director for the past 42 years at Linesville High School and now consolidated into Conneaut Area Senior High (C.A.S.H.).
