Hello, my name is Pastor Art Barnes and I would like to personally welcome you to our family here at First Baptist Church of Linesville.
Let me take a few moments to tell you about our church and share with you my heart after the Lord. In 1987 I left a seventeen year career in industrial management to accept a call to pastor here. Over the years our church has grown and changed in many ways.
Our core philosophy is to be traditional in the principles of Scripture yet contemporary in our methods to continually "repackage" the Gospel to every generation. As you enter our doors you will find our worship lively and our family welcoming and friendly. Our goal is to help create the best possible environment for people to be saved, grow in Christ, and have fellowship and opportunity to use their spiritual gifts.
On a more personal note, my wife Kristy and I enjoy camping, fishing, riding our motorcycle and visiting our children and grandchildren together.
